It is now more than a century since the initaton of frozen secton by Louis B Wilson in 1905. We have always lagged behind and it is now about three decades since Dr Badri Bahadhur Baidya and Dr Sarala Malla came to Bir Hospital and initated histopathology here. Prior to that I suppose all surgical specimens were disposed of without  histopathologic diagnoses.
